Haigh Points of Pride (2006)

  1. Haigh Elementary School has been accredited by the North Central Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement.
  2. Haigh Elementary School has met the federal requirements for Adequate Yearly Progress.
  3. Haigh Elementary School has received a letter grade of a “B” on the State of Michigan Report Card.
  4. Haigh School has highly qualified teachers and support staff engaged in the educational successes of all students in all curricular areas.
  5. Haigh School teachers are engaged at every grade level through vertical training to develop best teaching practices to meet state standards and benchmarks.
  6. Haigh School personnel are deeply committed to the development of sustained, substantial school improvement by functioning as a professional learning community.
  7. Haigh School parents work in collaboration with teachers at various levels to support and extend learning.
  8. Haigh School staff and students continue to be involved with community projects to serve the needs of others.
  9. Haigh School has a very involved PTA that provides a number of educational opportunities for students, parents, teachers, and the community during the school year.
  10. Haigh School incorporates the District’s Core Values, along with the core democratic values, into every day interactions.
